Psalm 35:12-14

New American Standard Bible

¹² They ^(A)repay me evil for good,
To the bereavement of my soul.
¹³ But as for me, ^(B)when they were sick, my ^(C)clothing was sackcloth;
I ^(D)humbled my soul with fasting,
But my ^(E)prayer kept returning to ^[a]me.
¹⁴ I went about as though it were my friend or brother;
I ^(F)bowed down ^[b]in mourning, like one who mourns for a mother.
